RULES FOR REGISTRATION
1. All APHA registered paint horses (colored and solid paint bred) born in the state of Washington are eligible for registration with the Washington Bred Paint Registry.2. A
completed registration application, copy of horse’s APHA papers, and the proper fee must be sent to the WA Bred Paint Registry for processing.
4. All horses must be registered with the WA Bred
before they will be allowed to show in any WA Bred class.
5. There is a no cancellation policy on all futurities. Please speak to Ami as emergency' s do happen and we will accept or deny on a case to case basis. Returned checks will receive a phone call but if not cleared immediately there will be a $35 returned check fee added and the horse could lose it's eligibility with the WA Bred.
6. During 2008 WA Bred classes offered at each show: HALTER – All Age Mares, All Age Geldings & All Age Stallions and PERFORMANCE – All Age Western Pleasure, All Age Hunter Under Saddle, All Age Trail and Yearling Longeline.
Horses show with all ages but points will be awarded to each horse in their appropriate age division . These points will accumulate towards Year End Awards. These are the divisions that are eligible for Year End Awards:
HALTER (separated Fillies, Geldings & Stallions) Weanling, Yearling, Two - Three Year Old and Aged.
PERFORMANCE – Junior Western Pleasure, Senior Western Pleasure & Youth Western, Junior Hunter Under Saddle, Senior Hunter Under Saddle & Youth Hunter Under Saddle, Junior Trail, Senior Trail & Youth Trail and Yearling Longeline.
7. To be eligible for a year end award you must show under at least 8 judges. Weanlings are excluded from this rule. See Awards below for complete list of award descriptions.
8. Youth division awards will be awarded to the youth with the highest points shown under at least 8 judges. The Overall High Point Youth Award will be awarded to the youth who earns the highest combined points in a minimum of two performance classes, WP, HUS & Trail. Youth must declare if they are going for the youth award division or the Junior or Senior Horse award, they cannot qualify for both. Parents must also sign the registration for a youth to participate. If a youth themselves does not ride the horse in the class (i.e. trainer or other person) then the points will go towards the Jr Horse or Senior Horse division for that class and show.
Failure to abide by WA Bred rules will result in the loss of WA Bred points, class or year-end awards and forfeiture of all entry fees.
1. All horses must be registered with APHA and the WA Bred Paint Registry.
2. Any WA Bred class held at an approved APHA show
will count towards Year-End award points.
3. Classes will be
$8.00 per judge/per class at all
shows.
4. Points will be awarded in each class. The NWCC point system will be used.

You must show under 8 judges to qualify for a Year End Award.
6.
In
the event of a tie – The horse or exhibitor accumulating equal points but showing the least number of times will receive the award.
If this is equal, the horse that places over the other horse the greatest number of times will be declared the winner.
7. Their are currently 3 futurities being held by WA Bred. Yearling Halter, Yearling Longline & Weanling Halter. Check show dates to see where these will be held.
8. Horses will earn year end points according to their age and sex division. Youth must declare that they are going for the youth award before showing in the performance classes.
AWARDS WILL BE AWARDED TO THE FOLLOWING:
A High Point All Around Horse Award will be given based on the highest points awarded from 2 performance divisions (HUS, WP or Trail) and must show in their appropriate halter division class and earn a minimum of 10 points.
A High Point Youth Award will be given based on highest number of points earned in at least two youth performance division classes.
HIGH POINT AWARDS will be awarded to the following winners:
High Point Halter Stallion High Point Halter Mare High Point Halter Gelding High Point Western Pleasure Horse High Point Hunter Under Saddle Horse High Point Trail Horse Yearling LongelineHigh Point Division Awards will be awarded in HALTER - Weanling, Yearling, Two - Three Year Old and Aged also divided into mares, geldings & stallions.
PERFORMANCE – High Point Awards will also be awarded to Junior High Point Horse, Senior High Point Horse and Youth.
The
decision of the Washington Bred Paint
Registry shall be final in all matters.
